In a shocking turn of events, an estimated 20 million worth of gold and other high-value goods have been stolen from an undisclosed airport in Toronto. Police allege that the suspect came into possession of the stolen gold and banknotes after the goods were offloaded from an aircraft. Air Canada's cargo operations were handling the shipment at the time of the theft.
The brazen heist, which occurred in 2023, has made international headlines. The stolen items included 6,600 gold bars valued at over 15 million, as well as other valuables weighing approximately 400 kilograms. The total value of the loot is estimated to be close to 20 million.
